George Langdon - President

Dr. Langdon joined the petroleum industry as a geologist in 1980, and worked domestically and internationally until 1987 with Hudson’s Bay Oil and Gas, ARAMCO, and Mobil Canada. In the 1990’s he consulted for and joined management teams of several junior oil and gas companies, and presently is a Director of Gulf Shores Resources Ltd., Contact Exploration Inc., and Monarch Energy Ltd. He has been involved in the west Newfoundland carbonate platform play since his early education at Memorial University of Newfoundland,  where in 1996 he took a doctorate in seismic-based basin analyis of the western Newfoundland and adjacent Maritimes Basin areas. His private consulting firm, Tectonic, Inc., oversaw the exploration program for Canadian Imperial Venture Corp. during their 2001-2002 drilling program on the Port au Port Peninsula.

John Wright - Executive Vice-President, Corporate Secretary and Director

John Wright has over 30 years of management, finance and sales experience, with a particular focus on high technology companies. From 1976 to 1995, he held senior positions with technology companies such as Diebold Ltd., Policy Management Systems Canada, AT&T and Computer Sciences Canada.. From 1995 to 2005 he was a founding shareholder and CEO for both Micro Optics Design Corporation and CEO and Director of Plasma Environmental Technologies. In the start-up of both companies, Mr. Wright was active in corporate development and in raising private and public investment capital in excess of $50 million.

William Smith, B. Math. - Chief Financial Officer

William Smith is a Chartered Accountant since 1988. He has acted as Chief Financial Officer of Manchester Capital Inc since 1999. Prior to that he was Vice President and Treasurer of Cott Corporation from 1994 through 1998 and Treasurer of Molson Breweries from 1990 through 1994.

Ian Ollers - CFA,  Director

Ian Ollers has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1992.  Mr. Ollers has acted as a director of Wickham Investment Counsel Inc. since December 2001.  From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Ollers acted as a securities analyst in the oil and gas industry with Maison Placements and Harris Partners.  Mr. Ollers received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto in June 1987 and a Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in May 1980.

Alex Falconer - CA, Director

Alex Falconer obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from Laurentian University in 1982.  After graduation, Mr. Falconer worked in Toronto for Smith, Nixon & Co., Ernst & Young, and Hyde Houghton and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1990, prior to starting his own business providing consulting services for public and private corporations.  Mr. Falconer is partner in Revelstone Investments Inc., a Canadian company providing accounting and financial outsourcing services.  Mr. Falconer is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Financial Officer for Blue Vista Technologies Inc., and Chief Financial Officer for VG Gold Corp., Mustang Minerals Corp., and Mclaren Resources Inc.. Mr. Falconer also serves as a director of Seagreen Capital Corp.


Mark Cooper - PhD, Director

Mark Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Imperial College, London and a Ph.D. from Bristol University.  He taught at University College Cork for 5 years before joining BP p.l.c. in London in 1985 where he worked on structurally complex basins worldwide.  This was followed by four years with BP in Calgary working in the British Columbia foothills area and two years with BP in Bogota, Columbia where he worked on the exploration of the Llanos Foothills. Dr. Cooper joined PanCanadian Petroleum in 1994 and was involved in exploration in the British Columbia foothills area, western Newfoundland, Quebec and the Gulf of Mexico.  In 2000 Dr. Cooper moved into a new role leading the International New Ventures Team and continued in that role through the merger that created EnCana Corporation in April 2002.  Over the past seven years, Dr. Cooper has been involved in the evaluation of international exploration opportunities around the world.  Dr. Cooper is currently Vice President, Middle East and New Ventures in EnCana’s International Division.  Dr. Cooper has published over 50 papers, and is active within both the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and American Association of Petroleum Geologists.  He served as a Distinguished Lecturer for American Association of Petroleum Geologists in 1999-2000.
